Coach Jay Murdock
 Coach Jay Murdock has nearly 30 years experience coaching athletes at every level in a variety of sports. He has worked with young athletes from youth baseball, soccer, football and basketball to track and field at the college ranks. A former educator, on-air radio personality and long-time community activist, during his over two decades of coaching young athletes he has had athletes in national and state championships every year but three. He has coached 1 world champion, 3 national champions, 5 state champions, dozens of state qualifiers, 2 high school district championship and 6 high school conference championship track and field teams. Additionally, several of his athletes have attained All-American status at different levels, with 150 national Junior Olympic qualifiers. Many of his athletes have received Division I, II, III and NAIA college scholarships. His “athlete first, coach driven, performance based “ approach to training athletes has produced winning teams and championship athletes in an assortment of sports.  Coach Murdock is a certified USA Track and Field coach and member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (OATCCC).
 

Coach Jahari Murdock
Jahari has been coaching for number of years and is a tremendous athlete in his own right having qualified for the National AAU/USATF Junior Olympic Track and Field Championships 4 times in 6 years.  In 2006 he finished 9th in the 400m dash at the USATF National Championships in Baltimore MD.  He is an All-American in the long jump and honorable mention All-American in the 400m and 200m dashes.  A 2010 graduate of Akron Archbishop Hoban High School, he currently attends the University of Akron where he is majoring in Exercise Science.  A 3 sport athlete, Jahari is looking forward to possibly playing for the Akron Zips football team in the fall of 2011.
